At OUTnABOUT, sustainability is part of our brand DNA — woven into both product development and community action:

In fabric selection, we prioritize eco-friendly, recyclable, and sustainable fibers.
In production, we focus on durability and functionality to reduce unnecessary waste.
In community action, we partner with the SEE Foundation, donating a portion of our sales to marine conservation and the Sanjiangyuan ecological protection program.

That's why each new collection is paired with a dedicated sustainability initiative. Through exploring diverse ecosystems, collaborating with foundations, and supporting local communities, we hope every garment carries a story of care, conservation, and connection.

Birding

Partnered with the SEE Foundation. We introduced 9 representative bird species across different cities through custom illustrations. A portion of all sales from this collection was donated directly to bird conservation efforts.

Nature Gallery

We traveled into the Sanjiangyuan region of Qinghai to better understand the relationship between people and nature. Through conversations with local communities on human-wildlife coexistence and biodiversity, we created a reflective content series exploring how we can live and grow alongside the natural world.

Continued our partnership with SEE Foundation, this initiative focused on protecting marine life. After learning about ocean pollution, guest illustrator MOXI — a young artist — created a series of illustrations featuring tearful marine creatures, offering a moving reflection of children's empathy and their connection to the natural world.

Mountain Story

Continuing our journey through the mountainous regions of Western Sichuan, we organized a high-altitude football match and supported local children through sports equipment donations — creating moments of connection, joy, and shared experiences through play.

recognized sustainability standards.

Natural Fibers — Organic cotton, hemp and other plant-based fibers, all certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Bio-based Fibers — Lenzing™ lyocell, viscose, SORONA® and PLA fibers, sourced from sustainably managed forests and produced via low-impact processes.

Recycled Fibers — Recycled polyester from PET bottles and regenerated nylon (InResst®) from ocean fishing nets — fully traceable and GRS certified.

Animal Protein Fibers — Wool products sourced under the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS).

Down Filling — All down materials sourced under the Responsible Down Standard (RDS).

Auxiliaries & Dyes — Low-water and natural plant-based dyes, free from hazardous substances and compliant with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

Water-Repellent Finishes — Fluorine-free DWR treatments only (low VOC, APEO-free, PFAS-free).
